Filling is the process in which a machine packs the liquid products such as water, cool drinks etc. This method includes placing bottles onto a conveyor belt and filling bottles one at a time. This aim of this paper is to describe the methods for filling more than one bottle at a time. In a conveyor system, stepper motor is used for its efficiency. It includes the user defined volume selection at the desired level. Our system includes less number of sensors, so it is less expensive. Filling is controlled by PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) using ladder logic method. In the bottle filling system the PLC gets the sensor feedback and controls the solenoid valve timing as well as controls the conveyer belt. By programming the PLC, the entire system is being controlled. Sensor stands as the most important part for bottle filling. Normally in all automation industries, PLC is considered as the heart of any system. The entire system is made more flexible, time saving and user friendly. Every result leads to the conclusion that the operation of PLC in is very inspiring.

This project presents the control of system using PLC. The system is programmed to drive a Tunnel and platform light and also emergency STOP if any railway fault occurred purpose or to prevent any accident for safety purpose. This project presents the control of elevator system using PLC. The system is programmed to drive a dc motor for forward and backward motoring mode with sensors at each floor, emergency STOP switch for maintenance purpose or to prevent any accident inside the lift & door switch for safety purpose. The system is also programmed to conserve energy by automatically switch off lights and fans of cabin when motor is in rest state for a specified duration of time. The software used in this elevator system. This system can be used for learning the control strategies involved in elevator systems for educational purpose.
This project describes about the power system based on ON-grid using PLC controller. Solar system ,wind and Thermal system is used as ON-grid in real time to run the load by the means of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).This controller has more efficiency which when it used with the applications. This project deals with the implementation of solar system wind system and thermal system with ON-grid technology using PLC monitor for home appliances via PLC. Now days, many times out of three phase one of the phase cutout and the circuit breaker trips at that time the MSEB operator has to operate it manually by turning on the contacts of circuit breaker contact and if a MSEB operator sleeps at the time of duty at that time the hooter shouts and gives us alert.
The main objective of this work is to design and construct a microcomputer based system to control electric appliances such as light, fan, heater, washing machine, motor, TV, etc. The project discusses two major approaches to control home appliances. The controlling home appliances using timer option. Moreover, it is also possible to control appliances using Timing. The Usb port is used to transfer data from computer to the PLC. An interface box is designed to connect the high power loads. This system will play an important role for the elderly and physically disable people to control their home appliances in intuitive and flexible way. We have developed a system, which is able to control eight electric appliances properly.
Nowadays energy crisis in India is a critical issue. Enormous electric energy is consumed by the street lights. At present, street lights are controlled manually and it leads to energy loss. In the present study smart street lighting system manages the street lights automatically turn on in the evening, lighting the road for few hours. It will turn off the light when no one is detected in that area. When vehicles or pedestrians are detected, the street lights automatically turn on. Design of smart Street lighting system does not only achieve energy-saving but also extend the service life of street light equipment

In electrical systems there are many kind for devices connected in a panel. These devices are for control and protection of the electrical systems. If any of the fault is generated in the system the devices connected for corresponding protection will close its NO contact so that it can be used further for tripping the system and indication. The Annunciator will get the input from these devices and it will show the corresponding fault by lamp indication and by sending the message. A Hooter is also given to give indication by sound. This system can be used where electrical systems are unmanned or at unmanned stations
In many industrial applications there is need of sorting. Sorting can be done by using many ways like sorting of object according to their dimensions (height, length etc.), according to their colours, according to their weight, using machine vision (image processing), according to the material of an object etc. For example in Thermal Power Station electromagnetic sorting technique is used to sort ferromagnetic materials from coal. In this project, the development of a LCA (Low Cost Automation) system to sort objects according to their height has been designed. This LCA system is controlled by Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). This project consists of two parts, first consisting of software which contains ladder logic programming which is used to program PLC that controls the whole process of the project step by step according to input data sequence. Second is the hardware part which consists of conveyors used to transport the objects, sensors used to sense the height (i.e. laser sensors) of the objects, electronic system used to sort the objects and motors to drive the conveyors The objects are been sorted according to their respective height. The main conveyor is supported of two branches to load the distinguished object on to the respective one as separated by the electronic system and detected by the laser sensors. In this project, SCADA is also developed. SCADA provides a user friendly environment to establish an easy communication between humans and process. SCADA shows the activation of various parts of the system, i.e. conveyors, motors, LDRs and electronic devices. The automated object sorting system is very much useful in packaging industries, Bags and package sorting at airports, in separation of bricks in brick manufacturing process, etc.

Drip Irrigation is a progressing technology in the field of Agriculture and irrigation. 'Drip irrigation, is an irrigation method that saves water and fertilizer by allowing water to drip slowly to the roots of plants, either onto the soil surface or directly onto the root zone, through a network of valves, pipes, tubing, and emitters. Use of automated drip irrigation we can save more water & increase our economy by increasing production with less man power. The major part of agriculture is the efficient use of water for irrigation, where it is not feasible to implement full scale evapotranspiration based irrigation controller. During the growth season crop water does not remain constant and varies depending on the canopy, climate conditions such as temperature, wind, relative humidity and solar radiation. Thus, it is necessary to find an economic irrigation controller that can adapt the daily water application as per the plants requirement. Due to development of programmable logic controller (PLC) and their affordable price has made it possible to use them as stand-alone irrigation controllers. This work aims to develop the automated drip irrigation using plc for monitoring and managing the agriculture field. This project is concentrated on the agricultural system that can be used to monitor and control the agricultural field. Observations by implementing this project work shows efficient use of water to crops, improvement in Losses due to animals/wild animals, proper usage of pesticides in the agricultural field.
